Calling all the wonderful women in their 50s - please share your wisdom ☺
I’ve been seeing the 'I met my younger self for coffee' trend all over social media and it got me thinking of a fun spin on this…
To all the wonderful women in this community in their 50s - if you could sit down and chat with your younger self (let’s say in your 40s), what advice would you share? It could be related to your menopause journey or anything else 😊

You’re not losing your mind. It’s perimenopause LOL

What a fun post idea!
These would be my top 3:
1) Boost your protein and fibre intake (and meal prep - it will make hitting this goal easier)
2) Shift your mindset from burning calories to building strength
3) Make getting 7+ hours of sleep a priority (it truly impacts everything else!)2 -
Hindsight really is 20/20. There are so many pearls of wisdom we could share with our younger selves 😊 If I had to pick one, it would be how the way we move our bodies and exercise can impact how we feel both physically and mentally.
In my 40s, I made a shift from being a ‘casual cardio gal’ to learning about and embracing strength training too. I also started focusing on flexibility, making sure to stretch after every workout and adding in yoga a few times a week.
Beyond how good I felt after making these shifts, it also feels great knowing that these habits will continue to support me in future seasons (lowering osteoporosis risk, improving mobility, etc)

While I’m not officially out of my 40s yet, I’ve picked up a few valuable lessons this decade 😉
My advice? Don’t fear hormone therapy. Do your research, find a practitioner who knows their stuff and embrace the journey. For me, it was the golden ticket to feeling like myself again!

Make wearing sunscreen a daily habit... even when the sun isn’t out. Your skin health is worth it!
