I hear you loud and clear! It can be really overwhelming with everything on your plate. I’ve found that setting boundaries and prioritizing self-care has made a difference. I carve out a few minutes each day for myself—whether it’s a quick walk or reading a book. It’s essential to recharge!

It’s completely normal to feel out of sync during this time. Balancing work and family can be challenging! I’ve found that a consistent routine helps, along with communication with my family about what I’m experiencing. They can be surprisingly understanding!

Hormonal changes during perimenopause and menopause, especially lower estrogen levels, can impact brain chemicals that regulate mood. This can lead to mood swings, as changes in serotonin and norepinephrine are linked to feelings of depression. Women may feel like they are on an emotional roller coaster, experiencing irritability, anxiety, fatigue, and sleep problems due to the drop in estrogen.

To help manage mood swings, it's important to maintain a healthy lifestyle by reducing stress, limiting alcohol, eating well, exercising regularly, and getting 7-8 hours of sleep. Yoga, meditation, mindfulness, and hormone replacement therapy can also support mood stability during menopause.
