Suggestions needed! Flattering dress suggestions for a work event
I need your help!
I'm 43 and, over the past year, I’ve gained about 25 pounds. I’m on HRT and my recent labs look good but I’m grappling with a pesky “meno-belly” I’m eating well and staying active, but the stubborn midsection weight just won’t budge. I have a work event coming up in November where I’ll be representing my company at a conference. I typically work remotely, so I’ve been living in leggings and sweats lately. When I tried on some of the pre-peri dresses in my closet, let’s just say, it didn’t go so well. Most were too snug, and the ones that still fit highlighted areas I’m not feeling my best about right now. I’m a mid-size gal with a slightly larger bust. I’m looking for a dress that’s flattering, versatile (so I can wear it again) and work appropriate. Send suggestions my way!

Hey! First off, you’re amazing for representing your team at the conference. I also experienced unexpected weight gain during peri and the frustration of clothes not fitting like they used to. It’s tough, especially when you have a big event coming up. While I don’t have specific ‘styling’ tips, a mantra that’s helped me on tough days is: “I am evolving and I embrace my journey.” Please remember you’re not alone in this. Many of us are navigating similar changes. Hoping you find a dress that makes you feel both comfortable and confident at the conference! 0 -

I’ve been there too. It’s tough when your body doesn’t seem to respond the way it used to. In this season of life, I’m focusing on finding pieces that make me feel confident, rather than trying to hide what I’m uncomfortable with. I’ve been drawn to clothing with interesting textures or patterns – I find they help shift the focus away from areas I’d rather not highlight and add a fun touch to my outfits. Remember, confidence shines brighter than anything else. You’ve got this! 0
